the husband is in Las Vegas. Rumor has it that he's solo and visiting strip clubs. I guess that means that the scary girlfriend is no more. Why do I get the feeling that she ditched him when he decided to be a moon man?

At least he's visiting upscale establishments, though, and not the trashy ones that nobody knows about. You go honey, way to get yourself noticed.

What I think I find the most humorous about this is the cute little innocent girls who've all been wondering where their "schnookums" is. Oh, the meanie in me wants to post the pics of Lance with his sleepy-sloshed eyes and champagne flute. Heh. I'm evil.

Basically because there are just some times you want to be alone. I'm really irritated, and I can tell that it's some hormonal surge that started about this time last week. I'm irritable and grumpy and cranky and just want to stay in bed. It's not that I'm depressed at all, it's that I'm just pissy, in general. Oh, and I forgot to take my asthma and allergy meds today. Ugh.

You're curious.... here is my POV from the John Mayer show.

Okay, first off, I love him. Truly I do. Not in that lusty kind of way, but in that cuddly, god-I-wish-he-was-in-my-circle-of-friends kind of way because he's just damn cool. And below, the set list.

1. Love Soon

2. Why Georgia. Oh, Jill, this song is so much better live than on the cd. And you know how much I love this song *sigh*

--here was his commercial break about Chocolate Milk. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, apparently he had a dream last night about guzzling chocolate milk, and he drank gallons and gallons of it. So today, he wakes up with this "fuckin' craving" for chocolate milk. At the lunch buffet, what do they have? Gallons of milk and Hershey's syrup. Did he make himself some chocolate milk? You betcha. And as John says, this commercial break is brought to you by the fact that right before you play a song that everyone knows and loves, you could talk about anything and they wouldn't care or remember. So he says that is what brought on the silly banter...that and feline herpes. Heh.

3. No Such Thing

--more talk about chocolate milk and how every wrong can be righted with chocolate milk.

4. Back to You (all of the above songs were done with his acoustic guitar, for this one, though, he brought on an electric guitar)

5. City Love (a new electric guitar that was cool...pictures will follow some day soon, I can assure you.)

6. Covered In Rain (a very groovy song that I've heard somewhere before but is not on the damn cd)

7. (acoustic) 83 -- (he started this out with a nice instrumental, talking about wanting to buy his old house back from his childhood and just sit there under the blacklight and listen to old Police cd's on his boombox...and yes, he then sang "King of Pain" and blended "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" into the middle of 83. Fabulous, I was almost in tears!)

8. My Stupid Mouth -- (which he says was written as a song about the past, but that it has more recently become an excuse for the future)

9. This Will All Make Perfect Sense Someday ( a new song, done on electric guitar, and absolutely fabulous. Jill, you need need need to download this song. I talked to him and he said he wrote it just for you **HUGS** *wink* )

--now there was a short litte commercial about guys and their emotions, during which John says that there are certain things that guys feel when they look at someone that they can't put into words and it ends up being just an "OoOOH" --and yes, that sound was made with his hands clenched over his face and a look of utter passion/frustration. so cute!!

10. Your Body Is A Wonderland (during which I had someone call me and record parts on my voicemail, however John ended up sounding like a toad, so I deleted it. damn.)

11. 3x5 --introed by this really Dave-like instrumental that sounded so so so much like "Two Step" I just sat there with my mouth open and my heart pounding and wanted to just swim in the wonderfulness that is John Mayer.

12. Neon -- (done on red electric guitar. I was so damn happy that he finally played this song. As it is my favorite of his, in addition to "Why Georgia", but yes. It was grande.

No, we did not stay for the encore because having seen the previous setlists, I knew that there wasn't one particular song I really wanted to hear that he's been doing. Plus, the people in front and behind us were being real bastards and we wanted out of there. It was all-in-all a wonderful experience and I have so much love for him right now.

Jill, I'm sorry about the freaked out message on your answering machine. I so wanted you to get to hear some of the show!!

I'm off to bed to happy Wonderland dreams...

Okay, I usually don't really say much of anything important in this journal, but today I just really feel the need to get some things off of my chest. Before the proverbial explosion, of course. My "best friend" of almost thirteen years is getting married. Let me tell the story.

Best friend meets boy online last January. Best friend finally meets boy, flying from Dallas to Atlanta, last March. Four days later, they are engaged. Wedding is then scheduled for August of 2003. In August of 2002, pending financial difficulties of the bride and groom, they move the wedding to January of 2003 upon the promise that whatever funds they do not use out of the brides' parents' wedding fund will be given to them in cash. Bride announces that she has chosen maid of honor, and that will be a girl she has known less than five years who was the most "supportive of her decision", but that of course can't plan anything or behave in normal maid of honor role because she isn't from the hometown where the wedding is being held.

#1. Of course, me being a hometown girl, cannot be "supportive" in a mentioned fashion because I am never around her, I never get to see her, when she is home she is more interested in talking to the boy than doing anything else, and I'm not actually IN Texas to help with the wedding details. My phone calls and emails are not returned, yet I am unsupportive.

#2 Am originally told that there will not be bridesmaids because as they are wanting to spend as little as possible on the wedding, she doesn't want to have to pay for our bouquets. The story then changes as flowers will be donated for the wedding, so now, after the bride buys her dress on Ebay, I am a bridesmaid and have to spend over $150 on my dress and shoes.

#3 I volunteer to help plan a bachelorette party, to which will be invited several people who do not want to be in my presence. As I am the only one who has even suggested doing something of this nature but I cannot afford to fund it all by myself, I contact the other people, some of whom decide to jump down my throat about my suggestions and the plans that were actually suggested by the bride, but she was too chicken to actually stand up for me.

#4 Having changed jobs last month, I'm stuck with only half a paycheck for the month of October that has to last me until November 22. I receive weekly emails and phone calls from the bride wanting to know if I've bought my dress yet. Anybody seen an extra $150 I can use to buy a dress and shoes for a wedding that has easily become one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life?

Ugh, I'm so sick of this.

I am flipping exhausted. I really didn't have much of a weekend, having to run all over everywhere to get things done and taken care of. I had to completely revamp my uncle's website because my mom kind of deleted everything by accident. I'm hoping he actually finally pays me for doing all of this crap. *crosses fingers*

I have two days off though. Nothing to do tonight or tomorrow night except go home, clean out my closet and chill. I'm thinking about actually writing some, working on some prompts for Mare and perhaps even updating my website *gasp*

Until then, it's work...

Subject:it's the Friday Five
Time:2:57 pm.
Mood: hopeful.
1. Were you raised in a particular religious faith?
I was raised a Christian. I went to a Baptist preschool / daycare, a Baptist private school for kindergarten, but didn't actually attend church regularly until I was ten years old. Even before I went to church, I knew about Jesus and my mother and grandmother would sing hymns to me at night. That's how I learned to read music -- a hymnal.

2. Do you still practice that faith? Why or why not?
Yes. I'm a Christian because it's what I believe. I've never had any doubt about the way things happened, regardless of how many science and philosophy classes I've taken. I believe what is in my heart, what I've been led by the Spirit to believe. I often have doubt in myself, but not in my Savior.

3. What do you think happens after death?
Though it's not something I like to think about because I think dwelling on an issue sometimes makes things worse... I think that we will be judged, and that we will be sent to the place that we have earned.

4. What is your favorite religious ritual (participating in or just observing)?
I love going to church and singing hymns. Praising God through song can be the most uplifting experience in the world. I also enjoy candlelight mass on Christmas Eve and Easter. Prayer and meditation, listening to choirs worshipping God, I love just being able to worship and meet with Christians and praise God in his house.

5. Do you believe people are basically good?
I believe that we are of the good. We are born good. It is the evils of this world that corrupt us and tempt us and make us fall into evil. I believe that there are people who can withstand it through God, that He helps us turn away from evil and that by believing in Him and confessing Jesus as our Savior, we will be set free and we will have peace. There are some, though, that their situation is so great, so harsh that they have not seen the light of God, that they have not learned about where they can find their salvation. Over all, I like to believe in the best in people.
